On August 13–15, 2025, the PACDR team of the Swadaya Dian Khatulistiwa Foundation (YSDK) conducted a local training on Participatory Assessment of Climate and Disaster Risks (PACDR) in Monterado Village, Bengkayang Regency.
This activity serves as a follow-up to the commemoration of World Environment Day, during which the Regent of Bengkayang officially inaugurated the Monterado Village ProKlim Working Group and encouraged the initiation of concrete adaptation and mitigation actions on climate change at the village level.

As part of the activity series, participants also conducted a learning visit to the demonstration plot at the Training and Research Center for Ex-Mining Land Reclamation, developed through a collaboration between the Goa Boma Village Government and YSDK. This visit provided participants with firsthand experience in the application of an integrated agriculture and livestock-based reclamation model on former mining sites.
Using the six PACDR modules as participatory analysis tools, the Monterado Village ProKlim group agreed to focus on two key priorities: reclaiming land in the Traditional House area and processing household waste into organic fertilizer.
