On August 27–28, 2025, the Swadaya Dian Khatulistiwa Foundation organized a Gender Forum focused on conducting a Women’s Deliberation and training on developing proposals based on Gender Strategic Needs (KBSG) for women and youth in Sekida Village.
Through this forum, participants from various groups including gender focal points, vulnerable groups, persons with disabilities, survivors of violence, and other community representatives from Sekida Village came together to formulate strategic gender proposals. In addition, participants, especially women, received training on developing KBSG proposals to ensure these recommendations can be integrated into village development planning, reflecting a gender-responsive budget.
It is hoped that participants, including women and youth, will gain greater confidence and recognition from the Sekida Village Government particularly in village deliberation forums so that KBSG proposals can be accommodated in the 2026 Village Budget (APBDes).
Together, let’s build villages that prioritize women and children, fostering resilience and inclusivity!
