VILLAGE GENDER CADRES ASSISTED BY YSDK IN WRITING GENDER-RESPONSIVE PROPOSALS AND PRESENTATION SKILLS FOR FINANCING SOURCE SUPPORT SUCH AS VILLAGE FUNDS.

This activity was held on July 22-23, 2024 at the Lala Golden Bengkayang Hotel with 36 participants from 12 YSDK assisted villages in 3 Districts of Bengkayang Regency. The main facilitator of this activity was Mrs. Ita Andriyati, S.Si, Apt.,MM. Head of Women's Empowerment Division of DSP3A Bengkayang on Women's Consultation and Prioritization of Program Proposals; Mr. Meyudi, S.STP, MAP Head of Village Government Division of PMD Service Bengkayang on Understanding Gender Responsive Budget; Mrs. Dewi Yunita Asmara, S.STP, M.Si Secretary of the PMD Office of Bengkayang Regency on the Preparation of Gender Responsive Proposals; KIBARNESIA Pontianak Team (Mrs. Heny Salwati alias Alwa Rerizia, Mrs. Nelly Kusnandar, S.Sos) on Communication Techniques (Public Speaking) and Effective Presentation Practices and supported by Mrs. Endang Wati and Mr. Stefanus Haba, Village Companions of Monterado and Siding Districts.

The event was opened by the Head of the Bengkayang DSP3A Service, Mr. Damianus, SH, M.Si. with his direction underlining that this activity is an initial step for women to start daring to speak up regarding the fulfillment of strategic gender needs in general and women in particular in villages. With a process that has been carefully prepared by the YSDK Gender team, Mrs. Rezky Apriliantini and the team, namely starting with the Refreshment of the Results of the Women's Discussion specifically for the list of priority needs, followed by Proposal Writing which produces a Proposal document, then participants are trained in effective presentation skills, it is hoped that this proposal document will receive support from sources of funding such as Village Funds and other sources. It is hoped that after this activity, women will start daring to voice their strategic needs in every village forum within the framework of Women-Friendly Villages and Child Protection (DRPPA).
