CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WITH SEMILOCA OF WOMEN'S EMPOWERMENT AND GENDER EQUALITY BASED ON THE RESULTS OF PARTICIPATORY RESEARCH WITH CASE STUDIES IN YSDK SUPPORT VILLAGES AND NETWORKS IN BENGKAYANG REGENCY

This activity began with an audience with the Regent of Bengkayang, Mr. Sebastianus Darwis, S.E, M.M, who was accompanied by the Bengkayang Regent's Expert Staff, Mrs. Ir. Magdalena, M.M, Head of DSP3A Service namely Mr. Damianus, S.H, M.Si and Academician of Santhi Bhuana Bengkayang Institute on March 1, 2024.

Then continued with the Synchronization Workshop of Women's Empowerment and Gender Equality Programs and Activities on March 6, 2024 which was attended by Mrs. Gender Activists and Village Heads from villages assisted by the Swadaya Dian Khatulistiwa Foundation (YSDK) and a network as well as to build a joint understanding about future work with speakers including the Head of the Bengkayang Regency Community Empowerment Office, namely Mr. Meyudi, S.STP, MAP, Head of PP Social Office, Women's Empowerment and Child Protection of Bengkayang Regency, namely Mrs. Ita Andriyati, S.Si., Apt

And the Women's Empowerment Semiloca Activity was held on March 7, 2024 at the Lala Golden Bengkayang Hotel with a total of 135 participants from several parties, including the Bengkayang Regent's Expert Staff, Mrs. Ir. Magdalena, M.M, Head of the Social Service for Women's Empowerment and Child Protection, namely Mr. Damianus, S.H, M.Si and also the Chancellor of the Santhi Bhuana Bengkayang Institute, namely Mr. Marianus Dinata Alnija, S.S., M.Hum as well as speakers/responders from the Academicians of Tanjungpura University, namely Mrs. Dr. Nurfitri Nugrahaningsih, S.IP., M.Si, Head of the West Kalimantan Women's Alliance, namely Mrs. Dra. Norberta Yati Lantok, Regional Development Planning, Research and Innovation Agency (BAPPERIDA) namely Mr. Emil Cans, S.STP., M.Si. As well as several relevant service heads, Bengkayang Police, TNI elements, Prosecutor's Office, Head of Siding Subdistrict, Monterado, Sui. Betung with the Head of TP PKK District and Village, WVI, PKMD Bethesda Serukam, Head of Village.

This event was opened by Mrs. Ir. Magdalena, M.M as the expert staff of the Regent of Bengkayang representing the Regent of Bengkayang. The Regent's greeting read by Mrs. Ir. Magdalena, M.M asserts that "Gender mainstreaming (PUG) is an important instrument in creating strategies that can produce fair, effective, and accountable development for the entire population, including women, men, girls and boys. Gender inequality is considered to be one of the factors that affect the high level of stunting so it needs attention to be paid to the involvement of all parties, including women. He also hopes that this moment can realize "SUPER-TEAM" which consists of gender cadres, human development cadres in the village, policy makers, village administrators and officials, government stakeholders, academics, and organizations/institutions that have concerns in seeking the best development steps for Bengkayang Regency.

At the end of the activity, it was closed with the signing of the MoU of the Human Resource Development program between the Santhi Bhuana Bengkayang Institute and the Pontianak Self-Governing NGO-Yaya Dian Khatulistiwa (YSDK).
